Rates for 2019-20

A discount for reserving directly with owner may apply. Rates reflect length of stay, number
of occupants, season, and cleaning needs. Holiday, extra bed, minimum-night, 10% city
and 1.8% state lodging tax rates all apply.

High Season ~ 1 May - 5 November

  • Minimum stay: 3 nights. Maximum occupancy: 4
  • Standard Short-Term stay
    1-2 guests: $200/night (queen bed only)
    Additional $15 per night/person  for use of sofa-bed, exclusions for young children

  • Extended Standard stay
    Weekly rate for guests staying more than 7 nights at the standard short-term rate:
    Week 2: $180/night (queen bed only); additional $15 per night/person for use of sofa-bed.
    Week 3: $165/night (queen bed only); additional $15 per night/person for use of sofa-bed

Low Season ~ 6 November - 30 April

Holidays

  • Additional flat fee for occupancy on a holiday or the night before a holiday: $30
  • Holidays include Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, Valentine’s Day, Mother's Day, and Father's Day

Long-Term Rental

  • Minimum Stay: 1 month or more (untaxed). Maximum occupancy: 2.
  • High Season: 1 May – 5 November. Standard: $2500 per month.
  • Low Season: 6 November – 30 April. Standard: $2100 per month.
  • Application, references, contract, and fees required. Holidays and additional overnight guests may affect fees. Lodging includes furniture, decor, appliances, bedding, towels, hairdryer, cookware, table settings, cleaning equipment, dishwasher, ice maker, washer and dryer, WiFi capability (use fees apply), limited cable (can upgrade for a fee), off-street parking, grounds upkeep, and more.
  • Refundable Fees: security and utilities $1000, key $50, final cleaning $300. Utilities and service charges are based on actual usage and relevant fees are refunded after occupancy and all charges for utility consumption and services such as additional cleaning or repairs have been measured by utilities and services entities.

Policies

Beau Soleil, our family’s cottage, is a shared, environmentally conscious vacation house. All guests are responsible for knowing and following our policies and guidelines. A detailed list of current policies and helpful tips and guidelines are accessible by guests in the cottage and online at beausoleilcottage.com.

  • GENERAL GUEST POLICIES and GUIDELINES

Arrival and Departure. Arrive 3:00pm. Depart 11am. Leave keys on the kitchen table at departure. Guests leaving after 11am are subject to extra charges of minimum $25 an hour.

Children. Infants and minor children of 12 or older are welcome to stay with their parents at Beau Soleil. Rates reflect number of occupants or use of the sofa-bed; some fee reductions will apply for small children.

Pets. Pets are NOT allowed at Beau Soleil. Local deer and raccoons are not pets, but wild animals fine for photos (not from close quarters) but should not be fed or approached.

Smoking. Use of tobaccos (smoking, chewing, vaping) is not allowed inside Beau Soleil Vacation House, in the garden, or within 10 feet of any door or window on the property. Wildfire smoke: If there is smoke from fires present, all open doors or windows should be quickly closed.

June bugs. The cottage is well weatherized; all doors and windows should be kept closed.

  • HOUSEKEEPING and FEES

Rates. Rates at Beau Soleil are kept as low as possible and reflect the all-important collaboration of our guests to preserve the high quality of the safe, beautiful environment, and amenities we offer at the cottage and on the cottage grounds. Your care and upkeep of Beau Soleil and the garden are much appreciated by our family and other guests.

Cleaning and Maintenance. Guests are asked to leave all areas of the cottage as tidy and clean as they found them at arrival and to contribute to the reasonable and appropriate use, daily upkeep, and cleanliness of the cottage, its furniture, equipment, and services, including the immediate removal of all stains and spills when they occur and at check-out the attentive surface cleaning of the kitchen and bathroom areas and the removal of all garbage and recycling to designated areas nearby. Fair use of carpeted areas is very important. Please remove street shoes in the cottage and also avoid walking on the carpet with bare feet or socks worn without shoes outside the cottage. Please avoid tracking in fallen fruit, cherries being particularly damaging and hard to avoid on the neighborhood sidewalks. We reserve the right to collect an extra cleaning or repair fee from occupants as required.

We offer no regular maid service at Beau Soleil. Housekeeping services for guests can be arranged if requested with reasonable notice. Garbage and Recycling. Near the front gate you’ll find blue recycling tubs; leave no refuse. Clean and separate recyclables into: paper (office-type, bags, news print), lids, cans; plastic (bowls, bottles, bags); whole glass bottles; cardboard (corrugated, hard). On the carport near the cottage is a black rolling bin for garbage (include all drink cups, clam shells, egg/toilet paper-type holders).

  • PAYMENTS and RECEIPTS

All payments are made by check. Deposit required at time of reservation; final payment due one month before arrival. Emails from the owner or innkeeper are your invoices and receipts.

Cancellations: Refunds of up to 100% if earlier than one month and of up to 50% if one month or less before scheduled arrival.
